«Koi ga Suteki na Kisetsu» is Country Musume‘s fourth single, and the first to feature new member Asami Kimura. She passed an audition held in May 2000, and was actually working at the farm Rinne was living as a member of Country Musume.

The single was released on July 31st, 2000, on the record label POTATO.
It was released in limited quantities as an indies releases, and sold in Hokkaido only (their last one to do so).

In July, their first movie, «Country Girl Hokkaido Bokujo Monogatari» («Farm Story in Hokkaido») was released. The theme song for the movie, «Koi Ga Suteki Na Kisetsu» («Beautiful Season for Love»), was sung by the girls, and was released as their fourth single.

Their next single, released 9 months after this release, would feature 4th generation Morning Musume member Rika Ishikawa as a third member, and be the best selling single of their entire career.


In 2003, Country Musume had changed it’s name to Country Musume ni Konno to Fujimoto, and had 5 members. They covered «Koi ga Suteki na Kisetsu», and it was released as a b-side for the release of their 9th single «Uwaki na Honey Pie». It was re-titled to «Koi ga Suteki na Kisetsu (2003 Ver.)»
