CREDITS

想い出がいっぱい (Omoide ga Ippai)

Lyrics: Aki Yoko Music: Kisaburo Suzuki | Arrangement: Hiroyasu Yano

This song is sung by Natsumi Abe. The original, released in 1983, belongs to H2O.

制服 (Seifuku)

Lyrics: Takashi Matsumoto Music: Karuho Kureta | Arrangement: Yuichi Takahashi

This song is sung by Country Musume. The original, released in 1982, belongs to Seiko Matsuda.

いい日旅立ち (Ii Hi Tabidachi)

Lyrics & Music: Shinji Tanimura | Arrangement: Hiroyasu Yano

This song is sung by Maki Goto. The original belongs to Momoe Yamaguchi.

This is one of the best classical hits in Japan. It’s a song about profound nostalgia and lost feelings. Ironically, many people don’t pay much attention to the lyrics and therefore this song has been sung at many celebratory occasions such as weddings and graduation days.

なごり雪 (Nagoriyuki)

Lyrics & Music: Shouzou Ise | Arrangement: Norio Sakai

This song is sung by Aya Matsuura. The original belongs to Iruka.

This song is also featured on the album Folk Songs, sung by Sayaka Ichii.

木綿のハンカチーフ (Momen no Handkerchief)

Lyrics: Takashi Matsumoto Music: Kyouhei Tsutsumi | Arrangement: Yuichi Takahashi

This song is sung by Yuko Nakazawa. The original, released in 1964, belongs to Hiromi Oota.

Nakazawa also performed this song live at her 2003 concert. It is also featured on the album Folk Songs 2, also sung by Nakazawa. (It is unknown if this is a new recording or the same as on the 2nd album).

Best Friend

Lyrics & Music: Chiharu Tamashiro | Arrangement: Taisei

This song is sung by Kei Yasuda. The original, released in 2001, belongs to Kiroro.

Yasuda performed this song at one of Natsumi Abe’s concerts.

ミセス・ロビンソン (Mrs. Robinson)

Lyrics & Music: Paul Simon | Arrangement: Hiroyasu Yano

This song is sung by Natsumi Abe and Yuko Nakazawa (in Engrish). The original, released in 1968, belongs to Simon & Garfunkel.

スカポロー・フェア (Scarborough Fair)

Lyrics & Music: Paul Simon, Arthur Garfunkel | Arrangement: Taisei

This song is sung by Aya Matsuura. The original, released in 1966, belongs to Simon & Garfunkel.

The song is a traditional English ballad. Paul Simon learned the song in London in 1965 from Martin Carthy, who had picked up the tune from the songbook by Ewan MacColl and Peggy Seeger. Art Garfunkel then set it in counterpoint with «Canticle», a reworking of Simon’s 1963 song «The Side of a Hill», with new, anti-war lyrics. It was the lead track of the 1966 album Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme, and was released as a single after being featured on the soundtrack to The Graduate in 1968 (from wikipedia).

今日の日はさようなら (Kyou no Hi wa Sayonara)

Lyrics & Music: Shouichi Kaneko | Arrangement: Tomotsune Maeno

This song is sung by Kei Yasuda. The original, released in 1966, belongs to Ryouko Moriyama.

学生時代 (Gakuseijidai)

Lyrics & Music: Seiji Hiraoka | Arrangement: Norio Sakai

This song is sung by Yuko Nakazawa. The original, released in 1964, belongs to Peggy Hayama.

卒業写真 (Sotsugyou Shashin)

Lyrics & Music: Yumi Arai | Arrangement: Hiroyasu Yano

This song is sung by Maki Goto. The original belongs to Hi-Fi Set, but Arai Yumi’s (later known as Yumi Matsutoya) version is probably more famous. Ayumi Hamasaki also did a cover for this song (on her album A Ballads).

ぼくの好きな先生 (Boku no Suki na Sensei)

Lyrics: Kiyoshirou Imawano Music: Fukuichi Kimosawa | Arrangement: Fumikazu Takenaka

This song is sung by Yuko Nakazawa, Natsumi Abe, Kei Yasuda, Maki Goto, Aya Matsuura and Country Musume. The original belongs to RC Succession.
